Ahhhhhh. No more hall of residence “bed” — a dinky mattress on a junky metal frame. Last night I slept in a queen size bed with a…drumroll…box spring! The sleep of the angels…in the city of angels.

I was very sad to check out of the hall yesterday, but now I’m back in grown-up world. Feels damn good.

   I bought you a new mattress this week!!! It’s being delivered tomorrow!!!

   It’s an expensive one too- so expect to get quite a few good nights of sleep here in NJ as well!!!

   (I can’t believe how expensive mattresses are!!!)

   Wow, a new mattress all for me? Your previous mattress was damn comfortable, so I’m reallllly looking forward to trying out the new one.

   What a wonderful host!

   Can she expect a (vegan/carob)chocolate on her pillow before she retires in the evening? (once her bed has been turned down, and her bath drawn?)
