Big Daddy bought Anglofille a video iPod! He may be a right-winger, but he’s still my daddy.

[While we were at the shop, he tried to buy me a huge set of French language CD-Roms, in the hopes that I'd decide to learn French that way, rather than by studying in Paris. Uh, nice try.]

   oh dang, nice.

   lately i’ve really, really wanted to get a video ipod. what sent me over the edge was hearing that supposedly you can use it as an address book, calendar, etc too..

   i’m sooo loving my video ipod. it’s wonderful for traveling, and i am now very addicted to ebooks and podcasts. get thee a good case to keep it purty and travel charger so you can plug it in everywhere (paris, london, u.s., etc.)

   the travel charger was my single best purchase for this trip! don’t bother with the apple.com one though, since you have to buy the usb -> plug and travel adapter separately. check ipodlounge.com or iworld.com

   thanks jen! i got a nice case for it so it stays all spiffy. i also bought some travel speakers.
