I hated BofA so much that I drained my account, paid off my credit card, and went to a local credit union that has education ties. The best part was when I got a written letter from the branch, in person, stating both my accounts were closed and then the following month I got a statement for my bank account which was charged a no direct deposit fee of $5.00 which overdrafted my account, which they then added $35.00 for the fee to. Imagine my joy and the smile upon my face when I went into the very branch I cancelled at and rubbed the letter right under their noses. It was great because I actually didn’t show the letter right away, and they attempted to deny, for a good 15 minutes that my account was closed. I even pointed at the girl who did it, and she said she didn’t remember me. Then I pulled out the letter.
