A few photos I took on the walk home from my visa appointment on Thursday…
In the Champ de Mars, next to the Eiffel Tower:
Does anyone know what these pink flowers are?

Aren’t they peonies?

That’s what I thought too, but others have said they’re a form of poppy or ranunculus. I’m not very good at identifying plants and flowers. I think perhaps these are a mixed bunch, so there are probably peonies and some other types of flowers in there. I guess I will have to go back and ask the florist, but they’ll just tell me some weird French name.

Hmmm, I always thought ranunculus were rather small, but you might be right, there

The orange ones appear to be ranunculuses and some of the pink ones are similar to the orange ones although a few of the pinks ones appear to be peonies… Did you get a chance to ask the florist what kinds of flowers these are?
