Tony Blair and I have a lot in common — we will both be homeless next week. But I don’t think his circumstances are as dire as mine.

P.S. Sincere thanks to the fellas who wrote to me, offering to let me move in with you. I’m sure you’re very nice and everything. Actually, I’m stunned you’d want to live with me, based on this blog. While I appreciate the offers, I’m not quite in the habit of moving in with strange men.

   if i had a couch which was larger than hobbit-sized, i’d totally offer to let you crash.

   but trust me when I tell you that you don’t want “paralysis by miniature sofa” to add to your worries.
