A couple years ago I was in Eltham to visit the Palace there and walked past a car, in a residential area, which had been the apparent victim of a 'smash and grab'. It must have just happened because the broken glass was still on the road. In broad daylight. It seemed to be a nice area too. This “smash and grab” activity seems pretty common in London.
